The Puente Romano Tennis Club in Marbella is host to The Marbella Masters. The tennis club is part of the prestigious Hotel Puente Romano situated in the heart of the Golden Mile.
In 1979 the club was opened by the legendary Swedish tennis player Bjørn Borg who returned to the club in 2011 to participate in The Marbella Masters.
Our inaugural event in 2010 was a great success with two time French Open Champion and local hero, Serge Bruguera being crowned Champion after beating former Wimbledon winner Richard Krajicek in a thrilling three set final. The 2011 event was won by Younes ElAlanoui edging Pat Cash and Ronald Agenor in a very exciting three-way Final.
